About the Project

SSRF lost all assets (building, boats etc.) during hurricane Irma and the two replacement vessels are currently not operational. This project will complete the rehabilitation works on both sea rescue vessels to make them safe and reliable to operate in emergency situations. Most of the work will be carried out by specialized third party suppliers under the supervision of SSRF’s project coordinator.

About the Organization

79,431.27The SSRF has been operational since 1980 assisting mariners, swimmers and boaters in emergency and rescue situations. The organization is run by volunteers who do all operational activities and most of the maintenance. Besides rescue operations SSRF is also involved with training volunteers and assisting during events on the water (regattas, swimming events, etc.).
