SXM PAWS operate the only animal shelter on the Dutch side of the island. The facility is in need of an upgrade to be able to house the increased amount of animals in need of care. During their stay at the shelter the volunteers vaccinate, medicate and nurse back the animals to health prior to finding them new homes both here on the island and abroad
This project aims to refurbish the shelter facilities, introduce some cost saving measures like catching rainwater for use during cleaning, additional drainage and sewage removal.
SXM Paws is a dog rescue foundation that shelters unwanted or abused dogs on the Dutch side of Country St. Maarten. They also focus on sterilization and adoption of these unwanted dogs.
