About the Project

The John Cooper Jose Lake Ballpark (JCJL) is the main baseball and softball facility on the island and the lights have been damaged during the passing of hurricane Irma. Consequently, the ballpark can only be used during the day which significantly reduces its usefulness for sporting clubs and events. The goal of this project is to replace the damaged lights.

The grant will be used to purchase three new light masts, fixtures and energy efficient lights and conduct all necessary work to make the entire system functional.

There are approximately 400 persons organized in 20 baseball and softball clubs who actively make use of the facility.
