Community Resilience
Carib Swim Team (CST) operates a non-profit swimming pool facility that promotes swimming and organizes swimming events. It is the only pool on the island where swimming competitions can be organized. The pool was closed for almost a year due to the damaged caused by hurricane Irma and reopened after completing some temporary fixes, patch ups and deferring necessary maintenance and replacements.
This round 3 project will focus on renovating the showers and toilets, re-tiling the pool area, upgrade the fencing, lighting & security and install a pool lift for the physically impaired.
For over 20 years Carib Swim Team has been operating a non-profit swimming pool facility to promote and organize swimming on the island. The facility provides the opportunity for many local kids (and adults) to learn to swim or to participate in competitive swimming. The facility is accessible to both members and non-members.
