Community Resilience
The goal of this project is to provide capacity building workshops specifically designed for young and aspiring artists. This project is co-financed by Fonds voor Cultuurparticipatie (Netherlands).
The grant will pay for the facilitators, workshops, materials and logistics while the co-financing will cover location repairs, personnel costs and equipment costs.
The beneficiaries of this project will be approximately 30 young and aspiring artists who (with the newfound knowledge) will be able to turn their art into a sustainable economic activity.
Established in 1995, the Art Agency Foundation was created to be an Agency for Artists development. It has since undergone the natural ups and downs, hoping to become the art Agency it wants to become. Axum Art Café which functions under the auspices of the Art Agency foundation, is a non-commercial space in Philipsburg, dedicated to the promotion of artistic activities in the Sint Maarten Community.
